Today was quite the adventure! Due to the fog we didn’t actually get to see Mt rainier but the park was amazing and it was a great drive. Plus it didn’t rain so top down life was had. Full post to come soon about my RF rental!

This is not the article I needed after driving on the Beltway around DC in a minivan full of kids.

So many good driving roads in Washington State. And and RF is the perfect car for it.

Too bad Rainier wasn’t out today, but that’s a good reason to go back. Also Cayuse Pass, and the Columbia River Valley, and up by Grand Coulee, and the Pacific Coast - well I could go on and on.

tl,dr: I am super jealous.

Ah a Miata, I forgot those exist in very limited numbers in fleets.  The targa type is out there too.

Yeah I was super surprised to see it and haven't actually seen an RF up close in person before so I just had to rent it. Perfect choice for this trip!

A winter drive to Diablo Lake? Last I checked, they don’t typically close the roads up to it, but only the SR 20 road beyond Diablo.

Slush box as always from the rental company. It's not a terrible auto, it did what it needed to do and it was hitting the red line any time I floored it. But it just made the whole experience less engaging and unmiata like.

I should have thought of that, they’d be replacing clutches every other week renting manuals in Murka.
